Responsibilities:
Lead and Manage Audit Engagements:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, ensuring they are conducted in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage multiple audit teams and assignments simultaneously.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
Address clients' concerns and provide expert advice on accounting and financial matters.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the accuracy and quality of audit work performed.
Review audit documentation, financial statements, and reports for compliance with professional and firm standards.
Staff Supervision and Development:
Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff and seniors.
Conduct performance reviews and contribute to the professional development of team members.
Risk Management:
Identify audit risks and develop appropriate response strategies.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management procedures.
Business Development:
Participate in business development activities to help expand the firm's client base.
Contribute to proposals and presentations for potential clients.
Technical Research and Consultation:
Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices.
Provide technical guidance and support to clients and staff.
Operational Efficiency:
Contribute to enhancing the efficiency of audit processes and procedures.
Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve audit effectiveness and efficiency.
Report Preparation and Presentation:
Prepare and present detailed audit reports to clients and firm management, highlighting findings and recommendations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all audits comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay informed of changes in audit regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
Certification:
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on auditing.
Prior experience in a managerial role is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
Proficiency in accounting and audit software.
Leadership Skills:
Proven leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to mentor and develop staff.
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
