Manufacturing Engineer

Brad Foote Gearing, a division of Broadwind Energy is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.  This position will work closely with the production floor to troubleshoot production challenges, assist with workflow through the plant and create routings and work instructions.  RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS o Develop detailed routings, work instructions and engineering prints related to CNC machining and CNC gear hobbing o Develop and improve processes for manufacturing gear related products o Assist manufacturing supervisors with tooling and applications o Assist in the selection of correct speeds and feeds on CNC machine tools and gear hobbing, gashing and general machining o Troubleshoot machining operations on the shop floor, assisting supervisors with problem solving and process improvement o Assist with the qualification and setup of first article qualification o Analyze costs, processes, planning and functional controls to insure continuous improvement to cost, quality and delivery o Research and understand manufacturing process improvement technologies and innovations o Work with tooth grinding operators to interoperate gear micro geometries o Work with CMM/GMM operators to accurately inspect gear micro geometries o Troubleshoot machine tool problems and assist maintenance with repair and diagnosis o Assist in plant layout of machine tools for product flow and efficiency QUALIFICATIONS   Academic/Experience/Credentials/Certifications o BSME or similar degree, or 5 to 10 year as a manufacturing engineer in a machining environment required o A minimum 5 years of machine shop experience required o Gearing knowledge is preferred Specialized Skills/Knowledge/Abilities o Read technical drawings for precision gearing and components o Develop processes in milling; drilling; tapping; turning; gear cutting; gear grinding; cylindrical grinding and have a working knowledge of heat treating processes o Read and understand G code and conversational programming for various machine tool controllers o Strong knowledge of cutting tool applications is required o Proficient in the use of precision measuring gages and product acceptance requirements o Strong knowledge of tooling applications and fixtures o Proficient in the implementation of lean principles related to machining on the shop floor o Proficient in CNC programming 1679

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
